Advanced Driver Training
Year after year, more and more aid workers are attacked while traveling on the road than in any other setting. In 2013, over half of all violent incidents occurred in the context of an ambush or roadside attack.
The clearest and most consistent message from recent studies is that most violence occurs in the context of an ambush or roadside attack and that aid workers are most vulnerable to attack when they are traveling on the road.
Although this finding may come as no surprise, it is made more striking considering how little it seems to be reflected in organisations’ operational security training investments and priorities.
Prosectra provides a safe, thoughtful and methodical way of driving. Advanced drivers are more observant and better at anticipating changes in the surrounding conditions. Because of this they are able to plan their driving to deal with any circumstances. Our training is context specific and takes into consideration operating environment, vehicle type, candidate competency levels and security situation.
Our trainers have operated in some of the world’s most dangerous environments and can train on both soft-skin and armoured vehicles.
